Should you tell losing suppliers the approximate amount of the winning estimate?: How much should you tell your supplier about the details of who won the bid on your job if they lose out? If your company or the contract permits, it is beneficial for the losing suppliers to know the cost (or an approximation) of the winning estimate and, sometimes, even who won the job. This gives your supplier an opportunity to understand the types of jobs they’re competing for and to learn which projects they are most qualified to do. It makes it easier for both parties to do business the next time.
